The Vogue website has been an influence when creating my website because it is classy and has an organised layout. The title is central along the top, and it includes blog posts that link to other articles on separate pages. These blog posts on the home page have a picture to accompany them, with a short title outlining what is within the post - I have incorporated this into my website with the posts on the home page.
Most websites use a continual colour theme throughout, keeping the same colour background for their website at all times. I kept with a grey background for my website so it matched my two front covers, creating a theme of a light-grey colour scheme so everything went together. I also used the same font as used on my covers and contents pages - Lucidia Calligraphy for titles and Gabriola for smaller writing in paragraphs and information in blog posts.
Magazine covers that have inspired my covers:
These covers interested me because they have a block colour plain background, I feel that this allows the audience to focus on the main image rather than be distracted by the background. These covers use only 2 colours for the text, however I only decided to use one to keep the theme simple. The font stays the same throughout, especially in the Glamour cover, to keep it similar - but sometimes the title of the paragraph is bigger or in bold to make it stand out.
